Poconos Outdoors LLC is expanding for the 2026 season and seeking energetic, motivated, outdoor-loving individuals to join our elite team of river guides, mountain bike guides, SUP instructors, and adventure specialists. Adventure Guide Positions Available

River Guide

Lead guests through Class II-III whitewater on the Lehigh River. Learn river safety, paddle commands, rescue skills, and rapid navigation.

Mountain Bike Guide

Guide riders along the Lehigh Gorge Rail Trail and advanced singletrack routes. Teach skills, manage groups, and share your love of biking.

SUP Instructor

Lead standup paddleboard sessions at the Francis E. Walter Dam. Teach balance, paddling technique, and water safety.

Adventure Specialist

Support marketing efforts, multi-sport sales, shuttle drivers, tube wranglers, ground crews, gear prep, and guest experience. Some of this work can or may include coordinating with our 501c3 non-profit (The Poconos Outdoors Foundation) and its marketing efforts and or events.

Training Program

We provide full training in:

1. River rescue & safety
2. Paddle commands
3. Bike handling & trail management
4. SUP instruction & water safety
5. Guest communication
6. Outdoor leadership
7. Emergency response basics

No prior experience required – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

1. Must be 16+ (some roles 18+)
2. Must be able to swim, bike, hike, SUP and/or kayak
3. Must enjoy working outdoors and be physically fit
4. Must be comfortable interacting with guests and coaching outcomes
5. Must be reliable, positive, self-reliant and team-oriented
