Pocono Bike Rentals gets you to and from; the Lehigh Gorge State Park Access in Jim Thorpe to the Trailheads in White Haven, Rockport or the recently minted D&L Black Diamond Trail in Glen Summit. Our VIP Jim Thorpe Bike Shuttle service is unlike any other. We operate daily from May until November. ADVANCE RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED for all our Jim Thorpe Bike Shuttle Services. We bring the bikes to you, loaded up on our new trailer and ready to go!

E-BIKE Restrictions: No e-bikes will be transported unless preauthorized by management. We also charge an extra $25 for them when we do authorize a transport of them. DCNR E-Bike Restrictions: No E-Bikes that are throttle assist and not simply pedal assist and/or travel at over 25mph will be allowed on our shuttle vans and are restricted from Lehigh Gorge Trail usage. Jim Thorpe Bike Shuttles – Times and Locations:

This is a VIP EXPRESS shuttle from Jim Thorpe to White Haven at the start of the world famous Lehigh Gorge Trail (Top 100 Rail Trail in the US). This trail section distance takes about 3+ leisurely hours which includes breaks for pictures, food, sightseeing etc.

MIDWEEK ONLY, must be booked in advance. ( 3 person min.)

This is a VIP Bike shuttle from Jim Thorpe north to the recently developed D & L Black Diamond Trail in Glen Summit.  To get the full effect of the Pocono Mountain Biking Experience you must go for this 4+ hour ride (including stops for pictures, sightseeing, food and water breaks). This “Lower” Section of the Lehigh Gorge Trail is approximately 15 miles from Rockport to Jim Thorpe. This short bike ride should take around 2 hours with stops for pictures, sightseeing or a bite to eat.

The 5:00 PM bike shuttle may not be scheduled due to lower ridership, please call ahead to check availability. (3 person min.)

Historical and educational value markers along the way will teach you about the rich local mining history as well guide you safely down the trail. The Jim Thorpe Bike Rentals and VIP Bike Shuttles operates from inside the Glen Onoko Access Point of the Lehigh Gorge State Park. It’s just across the new bridge on the North Side of Jim Thorpe. You can now park with ease, not have to deal with the traffic issues of downtown Jim Thorpe and save on the ever increasing parking fees at the overcrowded (and sometimes full) Carbon County Visitor’s Center Parking Lot. We get you up the trail faster, safer and in better comfort.

Lehigh Gorge Bike Trail, Lehigh Gorge State Park, Poconos, PA

Try to be the King of the Poconos and bike the additional D&L Black Diamond Trail located in Glen Summit, PA. Tack on additional 10 mile easy downhill ride through beautiful forests, streams and lakes with benches and tables along the way for picnicking for a total of 33.5 miles and 4-5 hours of fun. The well maintained trail surface offers everyone a great introduction to the Poconos Mountain Biking Scene. The Jim Thorpe bike shuttle pickup location is approximately one half mile down the access road inside the Glen Onoko area of the Lehigh Gorge State Park. The exact spot is the Bicycle Concession Shuttle Pickup area of the parking lot, which is pictured below and is about a half mile into the park from the entrance. If you reach the main parking lot across the wooden bridges, you have gone too far, turn around and go back through the parking lot back over the wooden bridges then past the Rusty Railroad bridge until you see the first parking lot with the signage pictured below, our Modern Ford Transit 350XLT Eco-Boost will be there with an Orange Safety Cones sitting next to it.

PLEASE READ: BE ON TIME FOR YOUR SHUTTLE TRIP! You MUST ARRIVE at least 15 mins. in advance for your shuttle. If you are late by even 5 minutes of the departure time YOU WILL NOT be accommodated and or may have to be rescheduled (if available) or worse; DENIED SERVICE. A $60 return shuttle fee will be charged for missed shuttles. (The AM Jim Thorpe Bike Rentals must be returned by 4:30 PM.) The Jim Thorpe pickups can fill up quickly on the weekends so please book ahead to guarantee your spot! Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to departure.

The VIP Bike Shuttle Service pickup spot is just past this bridge on the right side of the road where you parked your cars!
