FAQ – Frequently asked Questions:

Pocono Bike Rental- Frequently Asked Questions – General information about reservations, cancellations, what to wear, bring and how to prepare. Reservations are required for all our Pocono Bike Rentals, Whitewater Rafting, Hiking, Disc Golf and Outdoor Adventure Tours with or without VIP Shuttle Service. Anyone without prior reservations are subject to availability of Shuttle Vans.

No pets allowed!!! With prior authorization and extra cleaning/sanitation fees paid in advance there may be exceptions to this rule, please call BEFORE booking well in advance of your planned reservation date. Weekends are much harder to accommodate this type of request. Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

All mountain bike rentals are for the day trip/tour and must be returned by the listed time on the page you booked on. If not within 8 hours of your reservation time slot you will be charged the daily rental rate until it is returned up to 3 days then an additional one time $500 fee will be charged to the credit card on file to replace the bike in our inventory and theft charges will be filed with State and/or Local Police. Youth Groups, Religious, Faith Based, Educational, Charity and Non-Profit Organizations of 50 or more: can receive additional discounts off our Pocono Bike Rentals, Whitewater Rafting, Hiking, Disc Golf and Outdoor Adventure Tours with or without VIP Shuttle Service. Also our kids bikes are just $19.95 and can be added to the total bikes rented to save costs (applicable to size/age). Boy Scouts, Youth Organizations, Girl Scouts and Church Groups enjoy our trips year after year just ask us for references! For more info head on over to the: Group Rates page.

Biking What to wear and bring:  Dress according to the weather, and remember that you will sweat so dress in layers on colder days. On hot summer days, wear a T-shirt and shorts or mountain biking attire.  In cool weather, wear wool covered with a light windbreaker.  Biking shoes for use with toe-clips if renting an Expert Class Mountain Bike, or Low-cut Hiking Footwear or Sneakers are always a must. All outdoor sports thermal and or wicking apparel is recommended. Water and snacks suggested to bring.

Whitewater Rafting Recommended items to bring/wear:

Some of the areas explored can be dangerous. It can be slippery, wet and/or difficult so be physically AND clothing wise prepared if exploration is your interest beyond the main trails, bike paths, walkways and rivers. Please advise us and/or your guide of any medical conditions that may affect you during the trip. Trips are usually not cancelled due to weather unless in extreme cases. The outdoor adventure experience can sometimes be dangerous and bringing an experienced guide is always safest.

Cancellation Policy: All Pocono Bike Rentals, Whitewater Rafting, Hiking, Disc Golf and Outdoor Adventure Tours with or without VIP Shuttle Service are for the day of rental/tour period ONLY. Prices DO NOT include applicable taxes and or same day or custom shuttle fees. You can receive a full refund (minus 10% reservation/cancellation fee) if you cancel at least 14 days prior to your reservation date or a 50% refund before 7 days of arrival. We offer NO REFUNDS after the 7th day prior to arrival. However will do our best to credit you for a future return visit good for up to 90 days from the original reservation date with a $10/person rebooking fee.

A stern reminder;  bike rentals, shuttle trips, rafting, hiking or disc golf tours run rain or shine and our shuttles leave within 5 minutes of scheduled departure time. Please arrive early and use an app or mapping program on your smartphone to check for construction or accident delays. PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST 15-20 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR RESERVATION TIME SLOT!!!

There are NO REFUNDS for missed or late arrivals and you will need to pay a $60 return shuttle pickup fee (up to 10 people – $10/pp thereafter). If you are late for your pre-reserved shuttle pickup you will be charged a $60 return shuttle pickup fee and the wait time could be 1-2 hours.

Re-scheduling Policy: Within 48 hours of the event and adequate notice ONLY due to a medical emergency and/or VALID reason (not weather related), we may be able to switch your reservation to another day within 24-48 hours of your original reservation, but it is subject to availability. Please note: an additional $5 per person same day re-scheduling fee may be applied per; bike rental, rafting, hiking or disc golf tour and/or shuttle trip.

Re-booking Policy: If however we cannot accommodate you within the same day, we would like to re-book you within 24 -48 hours. We make no guarantees of this, we will do our best to credit you for a future return visit good for up to 90 days from the original reservation date. Please note, this will require a $10 per person re-booking fee upon usage. This new reservation must be made at least 1-2 weeks in advance and is subject to availability and cannot be used during holiday peak periods. This per person re-booking fee may apply, must be paid online and/or for large groups invoiced separately upon confirmation and availability.

No credits or refunds will be offered for last minute cancellations, no call no-shows, lost in traffic/construction and/or late arrivals.  With all due respect to our shuttle drivers, guides and the other VIP guests, please be on time, which is 15-20 minutes prior to shuttle or bike rental pickup time. By purchasing products and services from our website or over the phone you are agreeing to a contract with us that is bound by law.  If you are a no call, no show or don’t adhere to our strict tardiness and cancellation policies and or wish to dispute your charges we will use all the credit reporting tools at our disposal to retrieve our funds. We will report all pertinent information to our Asset Recovery Team and/or Collection Agencies to contract with them to retrieve any outstanding and interest bearing debt, collection fees and or settlement offers.

Extra Booking Fees:




Please reserve guided tours such as Biking, Rafting, Hiking and Disc Golf at least 7 days to ensure availability. All reservations must be made in advance and are prepaid at time of reservation. Reservations for guided tours with rentals made less than 7 days from tour date are subject to availability, if made less than 48 hours an additional $5 per person same day booking fee may be applicable depending upon the adventure package. Thank you in advance from our busy guides!

Our group cancellation policy: You must cancel at least 14 days prior to your trip in order to receive a complete refund minus 10% processing fee.  You may deduct from the number of participants up to 1 week before your trip without a charge. If you cancel the group trip completely with less than 2 week’s notice but not less than 48 hours, you will be charged for your trip and sent a 50% off rain check which is good for 1 year. You may add to or subtract from the number of participants up to 2 days before your trip providing we can accommodate them and/or the trip isn’t a guided trip, (see above policy). If you deduct from the number of participants with LESS than 1 week’s notice, but not less than 2 days you will be responsible for a $10.00 p.p. charge. If you make your reservation for a certain number of people and some of them do not show up, you will be charged for the no-show people who didn’t come. 

For example: If you make a reservation for 24 or less people. You cancel 5 people 8 days before your trip – there is no charge. You cancel 5 people 6 days before your trip – there is a $50.00 + tax charge. If you are a group and your final reservation number is 20 people and 3 do not show up the day of your trip, you will be charged the full non-group rate amounts for their trips and you will be responsible for a $5.00 p.p. charge for the remaining 17 people (the net difference of the non-group rate). Bottom line, don’t book until you know exactly your group size.

Lehigh Gorge State Park Rail Trail Safety and Etiquette Video – Presented by: PoconoBikeRental.com

The Lehigh Gorge Trail has safety and etiquette rules to follow while on the trail hiking or biking. This video will outline the important rules and guidelines of the Lehigh State Park Rail Trail system. The 6,107 acres of park land follow the Lehigh River from Francis E. Walter Dam in the north to Jim Thorpe in the south. The Lehigh Gorge Trail follows over 20 miles of abandoned railroad grade along the river, providing opportunities for hiking, bicycling, sightseeing and photography.
