A spry fit grandmother took her athletic grandson for a marathon rail trail ride (White Haven to Jim Thorpe in 3 hours! They called me from Glen Onoko around 10 mins to 3pm and said they even stopped for a quick bite to eat! The pair traveled all the way from Mechanicsburg, PA to come experience the great Northeast Pocono PA region. The grandmother was in from Sarasota, Florida and vacations here several times a year!
It was great to see the tandem’s faces in Jim Thorpe. They were looking like they were ready for another marathon back home but we still provided their comfortable private shuttle ride back to White Haven in 40 minutes. (Since they were the only shuttle riders we gave them a brief tour of the Jim Thorpe up Broadway and then down the quaint Race Street.)
